Bank Holiday Weekend

Bolton’s Food and Drink Festival took place over this final bank holiday weekend with four days of live cooking demonstrations from some of the industry’s finest, trying and tasting foods and also many unique gifts, there is even even an art exhibition that features local artist work. This year the market had 220 stalls spread across the town centre, meanings it has expanded from the year before.

The events main sponsor was Aldi, who with the help of Ainsley Harriott and Simon Woods, offered a wine tasting event featuring their award winning wines. For the children there was a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, this took place each day of the festival and allowed children to eat and also creative and play, it will feature goodies from Slattery, Carrs Pasties and Aldi.

The Makers Market can be found on the last weekend of every month on the Piazza of the Lowry Outlet Mall. You will find a selection of food, drink, arts and crafts. The market allows you to meet the people the people behind the products that you are going to buy and enjoy yourself helping local business.
